Program of Study

At our schools we truly believe that all subjects have equal weighting.  We also feel art is a specialist subject and children should have access to high quality art teaching.  As a result we employ a specialist art teacher to work with our pupils.  All pupils in years 1 - 6 get a full afternoon a week of art for two full half terms.  This equates to 24 hours of art tutoring at least every academic year.  Pupils also have access to an additional art study every year in February as part of the schools commitment to children's mental health week.  You can see more about our art curriculum below.  However please be advised there may be a change to curriculum if there has been an artist in the news or there is a key exhibition on locally which we believe pupils will benefit from.
