KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE IN EDUCATION
If you are concerned about a child’s safety, you must inform the designated safeguarding person (DSP) as soon as possible. The areas of Child Protection are as follows: Neglect, Physical abuse, Sexual abuse, Emotional abuse. If you are in school, you need to report this as soon as possible in person and via CPOMS.

Please note: Where you are concerned that a child may be at imminent risk of significant harm, please call 999 for Police or make a Child Protection Contact Referral by either calling the Customer Service Centre on 0300 123 4043 and/or complete and submit a Child Protection Contact Referral online. The form will be located online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/childprotection The Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) – Kassiane Papageorgiou can also be contacted on 01992 556979
Remember: any potential Child Protection issue, however small, must be reported to the DSPs in the above order.
