After School Club
We are very excited to be offering our ‘all new’ Albury After School Club commencing on Tuesday 8th January 2019. This will happen after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 6.30 pm.
Until 4.30 pm each day we will be providing a “club session” where the children will have the chance to do a range of different activities. Lego Quest on a Monday; Yoga on a Tuesday; Cooking on a Wednesday and Crafts on a Thursday. This first hour and 15 minutes will be charged at £4.50 per child per session and will include a snack and drink and all the equipment.
For just an additional £2.50, the children can stay until 5 pm to partake of supper.
The extended club (up to 6.30 pm), including supper, will be charged at £13.50 per child per session.
All children staying for the earlier sessions will need to be picked up promptly at 4.30 pm (without supper) or 5 pm (including supper) to avoid being charged for the whole club.
These clubs MUST be booked a half term in advance with payment being made (also in advance) via the Eduspot SchoolMoney system. Childcare vouchers can be used to pay for this after-school provision.
For more information or for a booking form, please speak to Mrs Waight in the school office.
This club runs every Monday and provides a different challenge each week. The children are given a building theme and then they must create their own design to fulfil the brief. Playing with lego in this way:
- promotes fine motor skills;
- encourages team work;
- improves creativity;
- develops problem solving and mathematical thinking;
- improves communication skills;
- develops persistence;
- improves self-esteem;
- develops lateral thinking and planning skills and
- gives a sense of accomplishment!
